ANISH KUMAR’S MUST-LISTENS

Washington-raised DJ and vetinary student Anish Kumar is laying the foundations of a discography to match the UK’s electronic greats. Annie Mac named his self-released single Blackpool Boulevard the ‘hottest record in the world’ in 2021, and sets at Lost Village and Printworks saw him invited back to Four Tet’s All-Dayer lineup this July. He wishes to deviate from the often over-finessed tropes of modern electronic music, breathing a new lease of life into the scene with undeniably soulful and forward-facing productions.
